The House of Representatives is slated to consider the American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454).  The bill establishes a framework for transitioning to a clean energy economy and curbing global warming.  It sets the first-ever federal limit on global warming pollution. 

Unfortunately, Big Oil, Dirty Coal, and other polluters have weakened the bill in ways that will delay the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy and could jeopardize our fight against global warming. 

Tell your representative you want to strengthen and pass the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

Dear Representative:

The American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454), which sets the first-ever federal limit on global warming pollution, is a promising framework for transitioning to a clean energy economy and curbing global warming. Unfortunately, Big Oil, Dirty Coal, and other polluters have weakened the bill in ways that will delay the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy and could jeopardize our fight against global warming. To maximize the environmental and economic benefit of the legislation, the Renewable Energy Standard should be strengthened to ensure we invest in wind, solar, and other clean energy sources, which will create thousands of clean energy jobs.

Because time is running out to stop the worst effects of global warming, I strongly urge you to strengthen and pass the American Clean Energy and Security Act.
